The Bosnian Mark (BAM) is the official currency. $1 is approximately BAM 1.77.
The country has three official languages: Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian.
Sarajevo is surrounded by the mountains so it has 4 seasons, and in the summer, it can also get a bit colder. But days in July can reach up to 38-40 degrees. Herzegovina, especially Mostar, is warmer – up to 40 degrees. In the winter it is a snowy country, so it is one of the most desired destinations for skiing and winter activities in Europe.

The best peaks to go hiking or skiing are Jahorina, Vlasic, and Bjelasnica.
Rafting on the Neretva River between Mostar and Konjic is a must-do.
Exploring the Vjetrenica Caves is an awesome activity if you find yourself nearby. These are the largest in the country, stretching over 7000 meters, but only around 2000 meters are open to the public.
